Job description

Microsoft is seeking a Solution Engineer to engage customers, understand business and technical challenges and lead conversations that secure technical wins for Microsoft solutions.

You will shape account strategy, design solution architectures, deliver demonstrations and proofs of concept, and collaborate with partners, sales and engineering teams. The full-time role requires three days per week in-office and less than 25% travel.

Responsibilities

Shape strategic win and customer-success plans
Lead customer technical discussions and secure technical wins
Provide architecture and solution input to account strategies
Deliver demonstrations
design sessions and proofs of concept
Identify partner capability and resource gaps
Collaborate with engineering teams to remove blockers
Capture competitive insights for product and engineering teams
Act as a trusted customer advisor on security and cloud needs

Requirements

Master’s degree plus 3+ years

or 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
or equivalent experience
Degree field should include Computer Science
Information Technology or a related discipline
Experience with cloud
hybrid or on-premises infrastructure and architecture is preferred
Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications are preferred
